Post Cant find my package through China Post surface mail

I have been searching for my package through China Post surface mail and haven't been able to find it. Is it legit? The tracking number is BJ83984537457.

Check who the carrier is with your seller. That is not a proper postal tracking number. All postal numbers are in the format of XXyyyyyyyyyXX, where X are letters and y are numbers. China Post surface mail is in the format CP#########CN.
