this is what I get when I track it

1. I suspect your parcel is not going to Canada, it might be going back to the seller.

2. Lately at the Guangzhou Airport much closer security check are done to parcel before going out of China. I suspect your parcel was hit with a closer security check by China Post. Also I could be wrong, it could be a wrong statement from China Post about Import Customs and Security, which mean getting into the country in this case China.

3. May I suggest you contact your seller as soon as possible to let him know that the parcel is having problem. Also provide him with the full tracking of the parcel and ask him to call China Post Hot Line: 11185, to find out exactly what his happening with your parcel.

Obviously your parcel has been returned to the seller. Therefore, you don't have to wait any longer. Please file a dispute on the order and ask for refund immediately. I don't think the customs officers did a mistake however. On why the shipment was returned to the seller/sender it is anyone's guess. Not necessarily the shipment contains prohibited items. You may also refer to a similar case here RO229881973CN. The shipment that I was referring to has only a piece of plain t-shirt (no brand, no copyright issues, nothing) but was eventually returned to the seller/sender.

Your case is one of the three circumstances that I have been highlighting in this forum about shipments that have to go through the Guangzhou airport. Unfortunately, your shipment falls into the 'most unlucky' category i.e. shipments which have to spend 1-1.5 months at the Guangzhou airport and eventually was returned to the seller. Yes, it is such a waste of time waiting but eventually ended up with nothing. Besides, buyers (especially from outside United States) whom are paying with credit cards may also lose out on the exchange rate differences (between the one charged and refunded i.e. the spread).
