Hello,

I have been keeping an eye on my parcel, RI627249155CN, which was sent on 9/9. When I look on the new tracking site, it seems to go around Guangzhou (CNCANA) fly since the 13th. I looked at the traditional tracking page and it says the parcel is "on route".

Please let me know!
Thank you

Yes, your parcel left Guangzhou for Italy on 13 September.

The arrival time page shows average to Italy as being 17 days, with the longest on record being 28. Hopefully you will see your parcel within the next 1-2 weeks.

Thanks Shadowspar! So should I don't worry? They usually arrive early, and when delayed in this way, are almost always been lost. Fingers crossed...

I would only be concerned if it goes over 28 days in transit. If your buyer protection is getting close to expiring, definitely get the seller to extend it, and file a dispute if they won't.

Sometimes packages can get delayed for no obvious reason. I wrote up a little blurb about all the little things that can go wrong to make your package take longer: http://track-chinapost.com/?page_id=242/china-post-forum-group1/china-post-discussion-forum14/qa-why-does-airmail-take-so-long-thread10666

Thanks shadowspar, interesting reading.
I notified the seller about delay and I'm waiting for his reply.
I wait also for a few more weeks, before heading over.

Thanks again

Not at all! And...yeah, international mail is an interesting system; it's kind of a shame that postal operators don't seem to disclose much about how it works.

Wishing your parcel speedy travels. :)

http://track-chinapost.com/China_Post_Arrival_Time_Stat.php shows shipping time to South Africa is very very slow. You might need to wait 2 months to get your goods from China.

My parcel finally landed in Italy Image Image Image
It's to be noted that the direct track here on http://track-chinapost.com was the fastest to report it.
Seller reply confimed some delay than usual time but, at least, now is nothing more than the usual game 'waiting for'.

Thank you all, finger crossed for you and a special thanks to shadowspar for support 😀
