Post Undeliverd parcel

Hi I have sent a parcel through Registered airmail.The tracking number is
RE540236635GR.The parcel is in a Post office in China.The status is constanly "Pick up" since 13-12-2016.What's happening now?What about the parcel?How long the parcel should remain in China undelivered?

Thank you very much for your answer.I have contacted with recipient,he has changed his address and he claims he cannot deliver the package.I thinks he doesn't care to deliver it.It has been over a month now.
What abaout the package in case no one delivers it?Will it come back to me as undelivered or will it remain at the post office forever?

1. In normal procedure yes the parcel should come back to you. You could if you want to make sure ask Royal Mail, they could send a message to China Post to send back the parcel to you in UK.

2. Explain to Royal Mail the parcel has not been deliver and is sitting at the post Office in China for over a month now.

You mean ELTA Greek Post services!
Royal Mail is the UK Post service.
Yes I ll do so.I sent such an email to China Post customer service before a week, but of course, there has been no answer to me.I ll try to make my country's Post service to take over! Thank you very much.
