On 29/11 my friend sent 3 packages from Shanghai via China Post to UK. 2 were lighter and arrived earlier this week with royal but mine, being heavier is due to be delivered with Parcelforce and has yet to arrive. The tracking number is CP398364527CN, and Parcelforce hasn't had any updated anything since 29/11 but I can see that via parcel apps that on 06/12 it says airline departure.

Will this arrive before Christmas? How long will it take to reach the UK now since its been a good 8 days from the last update.

this kind of tracking number starting with CP is called China Post sea/air combined parcel. If weight is over 2 kgs, most of the Journey will go through sea and will take 2 to 6 months to reach UK. You need wait some more time, you can not get it before Xmas.

On the CP72 form she chose airmail and it showed it weighed 1600g
