Hi there, my friend had sent me a parcel by china post on 09 jan 2014. It was on collection then opening then now its on dispatching from 11th jan 2014 (RB878008746CN)
1. Does that mean parcel is on the way to my country/it has left china ??
2. China post ship by air or by waterways??
3. Whats the status of my parcel? And when will I get it??

So your package is in Shenzhen for custom scan so will take 2-3 more days before being dispatched to Beijing which would take another 1-2 days. In Beijing again it would take 4-5 days for custom scan then will be put on holding area for airline space to India if it clears the scan.

By that time it would be start of Chinese new year holidays so I would assume it would take 20 -25 plus days to find an airline space due to less staff and more mail items(usually takes two weeks during normal days for an airline space to India)

Once your parcel reaches India you will have to face the wrath of the notorious Indian customs.If they let you off the hook easily expect the parcel to be in your hands around first week of March.

my god!!!! its bullshit !!! its clear that it will take around 2 months. can sender cancel that? i mean cancel the parcel posting and send it by some other service which is fast?

I've seen parcels waiting at Shenzhen customs for more than a 1 month. I've even asked a question here on the forum why Shenzhen is so slow. If you see the word "customs" and "shenzhen" in your tracking page, don't hold your breath. Instead, check back tracking status once every 3 days or so.

It will have to pass customs check in both countries, china and india. Registered mail processes in china can take 15-45 days but India post will be quick. Once the parcel arrives in india, expect delivery within 2-7 days normally.

Anyway, if you bought this on aliexpress, remember to "open dispute" for non-delivery BEFORE the countdown. The countdown is the systems automatic trigger to release funds to the seller. If you open dispute before the countdown, the seller will not get the funds and he/she will forced to talk to you. You can either refund or force the seller to ship again.
