My ebay seller posted on Sept 29th. The tracking number is RM643211799CN

It has been stick on "Arrival at inward office of exchange" since October 1st.

Does this mean I have no hope of the parcel ever arriving to me?

You might want to follow up with AusPost, but yeah, at this point the item is almost certainly lost. You'll want to open a dispute with eBay for non-receipt.
