Post Parcel posted for a full week???

Hello

My EMS has been "Posted" status since last week

Link here: http://www.track-chinapost.com/startems.php?code=LX962806374CN

Why does it not move? When can I expect to get it?

Thanks in advance

1. If you track your parcel here:
http://www.track-chinapost.com/track.php?code=LX962806374CN&fc=0
or here:
http://www.ems.com.cn/ems/order/singleQuery_e
Or here:
http://track.track-chinapost.com/china-post/en-LX962806374CN.html

You are seeing that the parcel is:
2016-07-28 21:22 Nanjing, leaving Nanjing to Melbourne

2. If no more scanning is done to the parcel it does not mean the parcel is not traveling to the destination Australia. Will there be more scanning on the parcel possibly not until it arrive in Australia but I could be wrong.

3. Normally E Packet should take 6 to 12 working days for delivery excluding the time spent at the Customs Office. Your parcel has been on the road only 5 working days now, just keep tracking your parcel.

Hope this help.

Thank you

On all the other examples I've seen, there is an update something like "Departed from customs" after the "Posted" status. Doesn't that mean that mine has not left China yet?

By the way, Melbourne is on the opposite side of the country from where I am. Is it normal for this to happen?

1. This type of parcel is E Packet so basically it's following an express route through Customs and security check. If some thing is wrong with your parcel you will see a status like held by Customs or something similar.

2. If the parcel is going to Melbourne is probably because this is one of the Inbound Mail arrival area for your country Australia.

3. I also found this:

Brisbane Airport Transit Centre
Melbourne Gateway Facility
Perth Gateway Facility
Sydney Gateway Facility

The gateway facilities hold international mail pending clearance by
Agriculture and Customs. Australia Post cannot legally deliver this mail until this clearance has been given. To provide assurance that uncleared mail is secure and accounted for, the four gateway facilities are licensed as Customs depots under section 77G of the Customs Act 1901, and Australia Post is required to abide by the terms of these licensing arrangements. Customs monitors the compliance of section 77G licensees on a risk basis.

Hope this help.
