Hi,

I purchased an item from Aliexpress on 04/05/16 and paid by paypal.

I was overly cautious with the purchase as I have not heard very good reviews of either Aliexpress or China Post... I hesitantly proceeded anyway.

I have been in email contact with the seller numerous times since the sale and have been advised the item is being sent EMS (EA048390367CN) which means it should be around 5-10 days for delivery.

They advised that I should check back with EMS tracking on Monday 09/05/16 for proof of shipment and tracking details to be loaded onto EMS systems.

I am anxious that the track number is not real to which they have advised, "tracking on monday you will know it. is the one I gave you''

When should I expect to see the details for the tracking number be uploaded to EMS,
and how long should I wait for item to arrive before opening dispute with paypal.

I hope I have not been swindled of $200 and needing to purchase again from somewhere else.

TIA to anyone who can assist

1. I did check for your tracking number validity, it seems OK :

2. When a parcel is deposit or sent to China Post it usually take 2 to 5 days to get into the system.

3. You have a double protection in case something go wrong about your parcel, Ali express and PayPal both could intervene in a dispute.

4. I have track your parcel to no avail, which is normal. If ever there is no tracking for 10 days then you can open a dispute with Ali express and get your money back. Those 10 days is needed so to make sure that the parcel was not scan by China Post and it's not into the system.

5. Normal air mail to your country is 2 to 3 weeks, your parcel should be faster because it's express service. But do take note that when it land into your country it has to go through the Customs Office. This time to the Customs Office is not counting into the overall time of the delivery of your parcel.

Hope the above information will help you.

Thanks for your response.

Still no record of the tracking number on EMS or numerous other tracking sites...

From what I can gather, you are saying that the tracking info may not even be updated until the parcel has actually arrived into Australia and possibly even delivered.

I would expect more from an express tracking service than that. I understand that the process is not as simple as I am expecting, however, from the forum I have seen on this site alone the frustration caused to customers by china post shows that the process is not as smooth as sellers imply when an item is sold. Perhaps sellers could provide a 'realistic' process time and delivery time when selling an item to customers to save them the angst.

EMS service is 5-10 business days from when ? From the time the seller sends the item to post, or from when the tracking updates begin as it seems EMS don't update with any info at all.

Thanks

It is not China Post's problem. It is because that your seller has not shipped the goods yet. possible reason is that he has no stock at this moment. wait another 2 to 4 days and track again in http://track-chinapost.com/startems.php, it should have tracking result.

I think China Post is the problem, I have been told by the seller that the item has been posted and you are trying to tell me it hasn't been posted. How would you know it hasn't been posted if you are telling me to wait a further 2-4days? Is that how long it takes for the China Post system to enter an item for tracking? If this is the case, the item could already be halfway to Australia and you, nor China Posts Tracking service would presumably know it....

I believe it is the China Post system/process fault, not the sellers fault. It seems that the system does not update 'real-time' leaving a lot of people confused and anxious about where their parcels are.

Its not very reassuring that an EMS parcel takes so long to report any tracking info. 'Extremely Miserable Service'

I have used different tracking sites and still nothing is showing any detail.

How long should I need to wait for EMS tracking to be available? Item was posted on Saturday afternoon 07/05/16. Seller said to wait until Friday and if no tracking info is present, he will provide a refund. Why not just provide a refund now if you know as a seller you haven't shipped an item. Stop stuffing people around.

I had an item sent China Post Epacket from FUZHOU which was sold on 29/05/16 and posted on 30/04/16. Tracking was available from the day the item was posted. This item was delivered today - 11 days later which is better than the EMS service from what I can gather... AND CHEAPER!

Good news that it has shown up in tracking, not so good news - it hasn't moved by the looks of it.

Is it still in SHenzen waiting for a plane to Australia OR has it been flown over already?

When will the tracking start updating on the Australia Post site?
1)When it arrives into Australia,
2)When it clears customs,
3)When it is due for delivery OR
4) Never

1. You could find some answer on this site:
http://auspost.com.au/parcels-mail/our-tracking-service.html

2. You could also ask Australian Post when they start tracking your parcel in Australia. Each country Post Service around the World have different way to track their parcel when arriving in their respective country.

3. Is your parcel physically gone from China, your guess is good as mine but I found this:

Summary
Tracking number Origin Destination Status
EA048390367CN CHINA AUSTRALIA On route

History Detail
Local date/time Activity Location Remarks
11-May-2016 21:05 Received by Post Office 518021
11-May-2016 23:14 Departure export customs SHENZHEN EMS

Hope this help.
