Bought a pair of shoes from Aliexpress. Never had issues before shipment usually took a month which is expect from China to US. However i check through EMS page and today is says.

Handed over to Customs
and then
Held by Customs

Does the mean the goods are lost? Will i ever be notified of what i have to do? I've never had to pay a tax or charge on any of the shoes I've purchased before. When i check through USPS it said the purchase has been accepted yesterday into customs.

Please let me know any information if possible. Or atleast what i could expect. I've read many things that all differ on what could be the reason.

I appreciate the fast reply. Ive ordered the same style of shoe before around last Christmas and they shipped fine. Never held. Seemed like the usual customs run. However this time it says they have been held. I will continue to track as i have 21 days left to open a buyer proctection dispute.

1. Is there any China Post Forbidden Item List Items in the parcel?

2. You could contact seller and ask him to call China Post Hot Line: 11185, to find out what is wrong with the parcel.

3. It could be also the declaration that the seller put on the parcel, that why there is a hold up at Customs Office.
