my tracking # is RA601725909CN it seems to be in Shaghai. The China post tracking says this:20140421 1247 20110600 US Departure from outward office of exchange. What does" departure from outward office of exchange mean"? How long will it be there?

I already have tracked my parcel on http://track-chinapost.com/startairmail.php as suggested. My concern is that it has been in "export customs scan" since a week ago Monday last. How long do packages stay in that status? What IS export customs scan?
