2. Lately in Guangzhou Airport there has been some problem for parcel departing China because of closer security check on parcel.

3. You need to track your parcel for a couple of days to see if anymore tracking is added to it. Like arrive Guangzhou Airport and leaving Guangzhou Airport going to next airport/seaport. If by Wednesday next week you don't see anymore tracking then there is good possibility that the parcel departed from China to Sri Lanka.

Below is a complete tracking information on your shipment.

I believe, your shipment is currently stuck at the Guangzhou airport. As can be seen, your shipment is currently in a loop i.e. it arrived at the Guangzhou airport and was sent to airline. So far, as you an observed, it has undergone the same process 3 times. The same process may repeat for 4 - 9 times (so far from my own experience). The lag between one update to another may take up to 11 days (the longest that I have came across so far).

There are several outcomes from now on. First, if your are really lucky, then, the shipment may get a place in the airplane and will be on its way to you. And second, after spending around 4 weeks at the Guangzhou airport (which is the same as your case currently), the custom officers may get tired with your parcel and will return it back to the seller/sender (hopefully your shipment will not face the same fate). Please keep your foot on the ground. It is better be safe rather than sorry. At present, my advise to you is to keep tracking for your shipment. If the status of your shipment reads 【 Guangzhou互换局】Import customs scan,备注(退回), then, please file for dispute on the order immediately. Because, it surely indicate that your shipment has been returned to the seller.

On the ETA, there is significant delay during the past couple of months at most of China exit points. Therefore, I would recommend for you to add additional 2 to 4 weeks to the original ETA to your country which was referred to you in this forum.

Frankly speaking, it is anyone's guess. Maybe, I'm just making a wild guess here, they are currently handling way too many shipments than what they can actually handle. As a buyer and a heavy user of China Post myself, I am also currently being negatively affected by the same situation. I have asked many sellers (whose shipments have to go through and are stuck at the Guangzhou airport). Some do admit the problem. Some just couldn't be bothered about the situation. Some others just denied by saying that my shipments are currently in transit. Until when the status changes to "Import security scan" and when I filed for dispute (together with the tracking evidences).

I do agree that it is very inconvenient (to file for dispute and having to wait for our monies) and frustrating for us buyers (to wait for such a long period just to learn after 1.5 months that our shipments are returned back to the seller). However, we are left with not so much choice do we? Hopefully, the authorities at all exit points in China realized the situation and will take some proactive actions. Soon.
