Post Rerouting a Package

Hi,

I was living in China and sent a package to myself in Canada, but the person I asked to pick it up missed the pick up date. On my China Post receipt at the bottom left corner, it says "if package is non-deliverable", I checked the box for it to be rerouted to another location.

Now, it is being sent back to the sender instead of being rerouted (apparently Canada post does not have an option of rerouting). When the package is returned to China in Beijing, will it be rerouted back according to the instructions on the original receipt that is on the package? Or will it be returned to sender?

Please answer when you can, or if some email contact for China post could be provided so I can deal with this case, it would be much appreciated.

Canada Post workers are taking labor action. the international parcel processing are totally a mess in Canada Post warehouse. Many parcels are lost or seriously delayed during the labor action. You can do nothing but waiting some more time.

Thanks for replying. I have checked in on the package, and unfortunately, it seems to be on its way to China. Tracking number CP340113785CN. When it enters China, can it automatically be rerouted back to Canada according to the information on the original packaging receipt from China post? There was a mistake and I am not in China to deal with this, do you have any suggestions?

the parcel is on the way back to China. Really bad news for you. I don't think you can do anything to stop the return. Did you write any returning address in the parcel, if yes, it will be returned to that address in China. If no, the parcel will be discarded by China Post.
