Post Possible fake return address question

I have a return shipped under this tracking number: CV032919126US. I suspect the return address is either fake, or the seller just didn't bother to pick the item up in an attempt to avoid a refund. Was wondering how long china post waits until returning a package, or do I have to schedule a return after so many days myself.

normally it will hold in china post for one or two months.
