Post ALERT STATUS

New Topic

Hi there,

I posted a parcel while in Beijing. I looked up the tracking number when I returned home to Australia and noticed it now has an ALERT status.

I have found that this can mean many things, can you please tell me what the issue is with my parcel, so it can be rectified, and please also let me know if this parcel is still on its way and when I can be expecting it.

The tracking number is CP268105937CN

Thankyou for you time, looking forward to hearing from you

What address is it sending parcel to though, we were told to put our home address on it which is also in Australia.

I don't understand why there was an issue in customs....it has a wooden walking stick in it and wooden boat figurine - which we checked with China post before sending to ensure it would be okay to go through! We wouldn't have sent if it was going to be withheld. Please can you tell me why this is happening and what I can do to retrieve the parcel? The wooden boat figurine is very sentimental and we would at least like the opportunity to receive this please!

.....Also you can see parcel was cleared in Beijing and Guangzhou - then suddenly it is sent back to Beijing and clearance is changed to 'rejected' - this doesn't make sense - how come it was cleared then it suddenly changed? Please also read my message above - like I said we checked the wooden items before sending, so it is unfair to later reject them....if they however 'changed their mind' regarding the wooden walking stick, could they at least just remove this one item and send the rest of the parcel to me in Australia??

1. If you have friend in China, it's time to talk to them.

2. You could also ask Australia Post if they could not give you a helping hand for your parcel.

3. So the sending address is your address in Australia and your return address in Australia also.

4. By Customs declaration I meant, what you wrote on the Customs declaration.

5. I can not think of anything else right now.

Thanks.

But for friend etc - where do I say my parcel is? What China Post office is it in? (By the way I clearly wrote wooden walking stick and boat figurine on customs declaration)...Does this mean they will destroy my entire parcel? Do they usually notify the person sending item? Is there a way to contact the China post office receiving returned parcel and ask them to resend without 'refused item'?

if your parcel was rejected, normally it will be returned to the sender's address. If you did not write sender's address in China, normally it will be returned to original post office where you shipped the parcel from. So if you have any friend in Beijing, ask him/her go to original post office and try to find the parcel.

If returned parcel has not been picked up for some period, it will be discarded by China Post to save warehouse storage cost.

Okay, thank you for reply....can you tell what the issue is? Is it an item or custom sheet? (I thought if an item is rejected it would state item 'rejected' by customs?.....Also I cannot remember the post office in Beijing that I went to - there isn't the name / address on the form I got when sending either - how do I find out which one it is?

1. Ask you friend in China to call China Post Hot Line local number: 11185. With the tracking number they should be able to tell him where exactly is the parcel.

2. The rejection is here:
2017-01-18 15:16:48.0 Beijing Transit Station rejected ,remark (99)

Whatever remark (99) means.

Thanks.
