Hello

I have sent a parcel from New Zealand to Changshu and the
tracking details say - waiting for the user to pay tax.

My son had to change his phone number on arrival to a Chinese number which is not listed on the consignment note and his email was written
incorrectly. He has tried calling China Post to find out how to pay but has been directed back to NZ Post. Are you able to assist? We just need to know how much payment is and how to pay. My email is on the consignment note is it possible for China Post to email me?

is it a return for refund? Many bad seller refuse to make customs clearance in order to avoid the return. Shipper can not make duty payment. It is receiver's responsibility to make import declarantion(in many cases, receiver does not need to pay import duty if they can give proof to government that this is a return).

Anyway, you need to call your credit card bank to claim refund against fraud or cheating of contract.

We believe the best way to solve the issue for your son is to find a Chinese friend to download the APP and pay duty for your son. As a foreigner, it might be too difficult to download and install a local Chinese APP because of the language barrier. It is difficult to explain in short words here because all the customs clearance procedure are in Chinese language , there is no such a English step-by-step tutorial to do so.

He is Changshu. do you know when he can expect his parcel?

if receiver have paid the duty, parcel will be delivered within 2 to 3 days.
