I have had many items delivered from China to Ireland by both Registered and Ordinary Mail. I have noticed that the Ordinary Mail is always delivered quicker and in less days than the Registered post. Is there any reason for this?

1. I have seen that personally also but the contrary applies also. Registered mail have to be scan/track so China Post and Recipient Country Post knows where the parcel is. So basically it's taking more time then parcel that have limited scan/track like Ordinary Mail.

2. Also we have to remember that the parcel Ordinary Mail don't have any priority, so this means that sometimes those parcel will be slower then other. That is the reason most of the time seller will indicate 30 to 60 days delivery for Ordinary Parcel and also the most economical way to send parcel to overseas country.

3. Also Registered mail somebody has to sign for it, Ordinary Mail just go into your mail box as is. Registered mail can in some country be track as oppose to Ordinary mail can only be track in China with limited tracking.
