A package was recently delivered to me safely but i was curious to see the route the package took.
It started off in Shenzhen and spent time in Guangzhou and next stop was Vienna.

From Vienna it was delivered to Heathrow and then it went to Frankfort before it came came to Ireland.

My question is, why did it go from Heathrow to Frankfort Germany as this is in the opposite direction from Ireland. Would it not be easier to go straight from Heathrow to Ireland instead of going off to Frankfort which is in Germany.
I look forward to explanation. Thanks.

The route changes everyday, many factors will cause the change including airline space situation, cost etc. It is like you buy a ticket from Beijing to London, directly flight might be the fastest but not the cheapest, or maybe no ticket available.
