Hello my parcel was sent to airline on 10th august , has it left china ?

Sent to airline does not mean it is on the flight to your country. It will keep waiting another 2 to 6 weeks in airline warehouse waiting for processing and flight space to Australia.

Yes my parcel has been sent to airline since 10 aug , how much longer will it wait in warehouse? , how many planes travel each day to Australia? , What type of plane is it ?

Base on our statistics, parcel will wait 2 to 6 weeks in airline warehouse after sent to airline date.

Australia post say there should be an update next week for my parcel is this true ? , 2-6 weeks is substantially a long time for a parcel that is tiny. My parcel was shipped on 07/08/18 and sent to airline on 08/08/18 and then sent to airline again on 10/08/18 , no update since then.

If Australia Post promises you update next week, why don't you wait one more week and see what happens? It is Australia Post's duty to update parcel status after china post sent it to airline. China Post does not control the parcel anymore.
