Post Did I get scammed?

Ordered my package on Oct 3rd. Received tracking number “LY823173607CN” on the 9th. It still shows there is no shipping record. I emailed the website I ordered off of about 3x and they would tell me “wait 48-72 hours for shipping information to be updated.” “Wait till Monday for info to be updated.” “Kindly wait till the end of this week for shipping info.” Finally, they said “updated shipping information is out of our control and is up to the courier to update.” Did I get scammed? Will tracking info be updated & my package arrive?

http://track-chinapost.com/result_global.php?code=LY823173607CN shows the number LY823173607CN has no shipping record. This means your seller never actually shipped anything yet.

If seller really shipped your goods, you can track shipment data from http://track-chinapost.com/startairmail.php in 48 hours. So If you get the number from seller more than 3 business days ago and still shows no record, you should be cautious of scam.

I suggest you push seller to ship the goods immediately. Tell him if you can not track real shipment info in next 3 days, you will open dispute against fraud.
