Hello all,

Would you be so kind as to check this tracking number for me?

RC834528520CN

I've checked it with your site and I can't find anything. I've emailed the seller and gotten no reply yet.

The website I purchased from (Aliexpress) advises waiting for 5 days after a shipping notification (which I got on Sunday). Should I wait for 2 more days?

RC834528520CN is invalid number. your seller did not ship the goods yet. wait one more week and track again. If it still shows invalid number, you should open dispute to aliexpress.

Ah okay, thanks.

I think I read somewhere that often sellers will post an invalid tracking number as a temporary way to keep the transaction going, and then replace it later; is that true?

Yes, absolutely: http://track-chinapost.com/?p=461

In the case of this one, they would have to give you a new number, because RC834528520CN is an outright fake. This combination of digits can never be a valid tracking number; it's not just an unused shipping label or some such.
