I have been waiting for over two months for an order I placed. The first shipment had problems and was returned. The seller promptly fixed the problems and reshipped about 10 days ago. My package LS605344724CN was moving nicely until reaching Shanghai, but it has been waiting for a plane for over a week. I paid as much for shipping as I did for the item thinking I could receive before Christmas. Now, I am reading other posts about delays to JFK of weeks or months. What is the problem, and why is there this lack of space on the planes? My package is quite small as I imagine many others are. When people pay premium prices for express service, is there no reasonable time for delivery that must be met? I am very frustrated, and I don't wanna be told be patient. Waiting more than a day or two for a plane with an express packet seems unreasonable given the cost. Is there a max time that a packet can sit waiting? Once again, I think I have been more than patient given order was placed two weeks before Christmas. There is someone waiting on this gift and at this point, I look like I'm lying when I say it's on the way. What can I do to expedite this? Thanks for your time and consideration.

Which website did you buy from? Your seller seems to be a cheater. Open dispute if you paid with paypal or aliexpress.

So are you saying my packet was not shipped express as promised? I contacted seller upon purchase and requested fastest service regardless of cost and assured this what I was receiving. In the future, if I require express shipping what should I ask for? Also, will my packet ever make it here or should I just replace the purchase with something from another vendor?

China Post shipping services and speed rank basically like this:

  • Ordinary airmail: no tracking outside of China, 30-60 days to arrive in the US
  • Registered mail (R): limited tracking in China and most other countries, but not in the US; 30-60 days
  • ePacket (L): tracking in both China and the USA; usually 15-25 days
  • EMS (E): detailed tracking in both China and the USA; usually 10 days, although these were very seriously delayed since mid-december (20-30 days)

Faster than that, you need to go with a courier, like DHL. This is what I'd recommend if cost is no object and you absolutely need the item on a definite schedule. They can usually offer guaranteed delivery within about 4 business days. It comes at a price, though; a shipment from China to the USA is probably $90-$150 USD.

Nowadays, I would consider ePacket to be the bare minimum, "normal" shipping -- it's the only one that is tracked end-to-end. "Express" should be either EMS or courier. Registered mail and ordinary airmail should be methods of last resort where other shipping methods aren't available.

As for your packet LS605344724CN, it left China for the USA on Feb 1. I would expect it to show up in USPS tracking between Feb 15-25, and I don't have any reason to believe that it won't arrive.
