Usually we expect items will reach Canada in about 30 days. By that time, though, Canada Post will be getting into holiday rush season, so it could take longer for them to deliver the item.

Why we cant track china post in canada?

Short answer: Canada Post thinks it's not adequately paid for delivering incoming international Registered Mail items, so they stopped posting tracking updates online for them. They're trying to get people to use services that make them more money, like ePacket and EMS; you will see that these items do indeed have tracking in Canada.

Your item is definitely Registered Air Mail; tracking numbers of this form starting with R are Registered Mail.

The Universal Postal Union strongly encourages that Registered Mail items have online tracking, but it doesn't require it. The postal operators of most countries have procedures that require them to scan Registered Mail items, so they put the tracking information online since they've already collected it anyway. In strictest terms, the requirements for Registered Mail are

• Registered Mail items have no special restrictions as to form, closing, or address
• the address must be written in indelible form (eg no pencil)
• a receipt must be issued free of charge to sender at time of posting
• all Registered items must be barcoded, namely with a CN04 label bearing the capital letter R and an S10 identifier (eg RA123456785CA)
• the delivering postal operator must obtain a signature of acceptance or some other form of evidence of receipt; in addition, the name in capital letters or any clear and legible indication permitting unambiguous identification of the person signing must be obtained as well
• postal operators that generate electronic delivery confirmation are permitted to use it to reply to inquiries about the item
• electronic delivery confirmation is strongly recommended but not required

Canada Post has just chosen to reduce their service of incoming Registered Mail items to the bare minimum, in order to try to make people shift their mailing to other, more expensive, products.
