Post Tracking number ending with TR

I ordered a package from a respectable company in Shenzhen.

I asked them to send the item via Hong Kong post.
They said that it will be sent first from Mainland China to Hong Kong and then to my country ( Serbia)

They gave me this tracking number first 8000616694329. I couldn't trace nothing with it.
Then tommorow they sent me another one RH033779218TR, saying the tracking number has changed.

I am confused because the number ends with letters TR. Which implies that the shipping carrier is Turkish Post.

How is that the case? Is the tracking number valid?

I guess your parcel might have battery inside. Some china seller use foreign post service(Netherlands,Singapore,Turkey Post etc) to ship battery item to avoid china post battery policy. Your parcel will be shipped to Turkey first then transit to your country through Turkey. You need wait about 2 weeks, then track it in Turkey Post website.

It doesn't have battery inside.

I believe you are right.
They have probably shipped it via Turkish Post.

I guess I will have to wait and see.

if your item does not have battery item(including cell phone, ipad,laptop etc), you should be cautious. Normally china seller will not select Turkey Post to ship regular item because it is slow and expensive. Your seller might give you fake number.
