Seller says that item shipped on October 7th but i cannot track it. China Post Volunteer said a few days ago it is a FAKE number but when i checked with International Track and Trace they say it is a VALID number when i checked to validate it. How do i know if my item has been shipped? Later i sent a message to seller who advised me to have patience and that i would definitely get my goods. Can items be sent with FAKE tracking numbers and still be delivered. The amount is not large. I have had numerous transactions without tracking numbers and they have been delivered OK. . Is RI658192645CN definitely a FAKE?

The number is in the correct format, but until something shows up in the China Post tracker, the seller hasn't sent anything using it. Usually after it is sent, the item is scanned and shows up in tracking within 48h.
