If a packet departs from Guangzhou on route to Ireland, what route does it go by? What is the first city or country does it goes to and what other cities or countries does it have to go to before it reaches Ireland?

It's not possible to know, and it can change at any time. Postal parcels don't really "transit" different countries in the same way that they do with, say, a courier, though. They aren't usually sent in the open ("transit à découvert"). As a rule, they are sent in closed mails: when China Post has a dispatch of parcels for Ireland, they are put into a sealed mailbag which isn't opened again until An Post receives it.
