Post attempted delivery but not arrived

Hi there,

I see an ebay item I ordered shows as ‘attempted delivery’, as per the below, but I’m afraid I never had this attempted delivery. How do I go about receiving the parcel?

Royal Mail says your item is at "Cambridge Depot, Awaiting payment of charges". You should ring your local Royal Mail office and see how to go about picking it up. =)

Why wont u contact royal mail directly instead of asking on some forum where nobody knows what u are talking about as u didnt reveal the tracking #???

Your parcel failed delivery today because none pay the customs duty. You should contact your local Royal Mail post office and try to pay the duty and pickup the parcel.

What I don't understand is why no one asked me for any payment.
I take it it is in the hands of my local sorting office?

It is possible that some delivery man went to your home and try to collect duty and give the parcel to you. But you were not at home.
