Hello, I recently bought a few products from China. One of them as been stuck on this tracking update for 9 days now.

2016-03-11 16:39:38.0 leaving Guangzhou Airport going to next airport/seaport

I am only asking as my other package through this postal service left China and arrived in NZ in just 2 days.

So what's happening?, is my package lost?

your parcel should be ok. sometimes shipping to to NZ takes about 3 to 4 weeks.

but my other parcel took 2 days from China to NZ...

postal parcel arrival time is not very accurate. early shipped parcel arrives much later is common.
