My package RH930534961CN was sent to airline on November 10th of this year and has been stuck at “sent to airline” status since. It is a Christmas gift and I am starting to get frustrated with the fact that I can’t find my package at all. I would like to know where it is since the estimated delivery was supposed to be December 6th and if I’m going to be letting my niece down for the holidays because something I ordered well over a month ago never showed up.

http://track-chinapost.com/startairmail.php shows the parcel left china for Canada on Nov 10.

The problem is that Canada Post import processing is very very slow. CBC and Global News have reported that oversea parcels to Canada might wait 2 to 3 months to be processed by Canada post. You can do nothing but waiting at this moment. It will arrive sooner or later.

Next time, use China Post ePacket to ship goods from China to Canada. Canada Post will give high processing priority to ePacket because China Post paid Canada Post higher price for ePacket parcel.

ePacket parcel normally will reach Canada receiver in 10 to 15 days.

It's usual for an item to freeze at "Sent to airline" status, because at that point it's packed into a sealed mailbag, and its status can't be updated again until the post office of the destination country receives the item and scans it. Canada Post doesn't even do this any more, so after "Sent to airline", we're all left wondering how much longer we'll end up waiting for.

Even worse, almost everything from China transits Canada Customs in Richmond, and they are getting crushed right now because of the volume of parcels. Some items are being delayed 4 or more weeks:

Even during non-holiday times, Registered Mail items from China to Canada tend to take 4-6 weeks to arrive. While I'm hoping it will show up sooner, I would expect your item to arrive sometime in January. If the item was promised by Dec 6, I would look at getting something different for your niece and opening a claim for non-delivery.

Unfortunately, arrival times to Bosnia & Herzegovina are extremely variable and often desperately slow: they vary between 12 and 91 days, with 47 days being average. If your buyer protection time is getting close to ending, you should probably file a claim for non-delivery. If not...keep waiting. 😕
