Is there any possibility that the delivery delayed?

I use the air mail with consideration of the fast delivery (within 1 month), but why do the packages be separated in delivery? when I confirm the china post in Ningbo, he said that he cannot help me to find out whether the packages has been delivered or not. What should I do in this situation? In a few days, I will be leaving China and there will be no one to receive my packages in case being returned. Please help me to solve this problem.
