My item shipped on the 16th but there hasn't been a status update since then. the number provided was LS167343288CN. any help would be appreciated.

http://track-chinapost.com/starteub.php shows your item left Wuhan on 17 Oct. Once the item leaves China, nobody will scan it again until it arrives in the USA:

How long will China Post parcel arrive my country? How long will my tracking status be updated?

ePacket usually takes about 10 days or so.
