HI-
I'm trying to figure out why my parcel has not been delivered--stuck in "import security scan" for 2 weeks now. I've contacted the recipient, verified the address with him, and he is also contacting the local post office. I put the address in chinese on the parcel. Just trying to get it to him before the start of the New Year.

ask receiver call china post hotline 11185 and pickup the goods.

So if he picks up the package, will the status be updated in the China-post system?

It might be update,might not. depending on the post branch.

Zip code: 510000

I want to know if the seller did not want to receive it, or the address is wrong and it never got to him.

Believe or not, there are many areas which have no postal service, there are many buildings which physically exist there but do not even have OFFICIAL ADDRESS.

The address in your post "中国广州白云区黄石西路马务社头东自编2号B302" is not really an address which is authorized by government. I can not say it is a fake address or not, but I am pretty sure it can not receive parcel from china post.

Thanks, that is very helpful information. I'll use it to pressure the seller in picking up the goods for repair.

The seller now says he has picked up the parcel and paid the import tax. Will that info be updated in the China post system?

China post not necessarily update the pickup status. If the status is changed, you can see the detail here : http://track-chinapost.com/startems.php .
