Post Is this sent by SEA?

I've never had such a long delay on something with "export customs cleared" status:

RS274######CN
2016-11-18 17:08:52.0 Electronic Data Received
2016-11-24 15:12:56.0 Guangzhou Transit Station export security scan
2016-11-25 09:58:44.0 Guangzhou Transit Station export customs cleared

It is not changing since Nov 25th!

I have another item being delivered today that had the same status on Dec 1st - but tracking number starts with "RI"!

On track-chinapost.com one of the statuses is translated as:
2016-11-22 23:50 Foshan philatelic post office letter, left, the next station "South China Sea"

Has this item been sent out by sea perhaps?
How to tell that difference between "by air" and "by sea"?

And track-chinapost.com has also two newer statuses not shown by track-chinapost.com:
2016-11-25 10:09 China, GUANGZHOU, Insert item into bag (Otb)
2016-11-26 14:45 China, GUANGZHOU, Send item abroad (EDI-received)

1. First your parcel is not going by Sea but by Airmail.

2. 2016-11-26 14:45 China, GUANGZHOU, Send item abroad (EDI-received)

This sis China telling your country Post Office electronically that there is a parcel going is way.

3. If you don't see any tracking for your parcel it means that your parcel was not scan by anybody but this does not mean that the parcel is not traveling to your country.

4. Now your parcel need only to be scan by your National Post Office when it arrive or when they have time to do it.

5. Next time why don't you give us the tracking number, it will be much easier for us to give you some info. I think I answer all your questions. Oh and by the way, it not because you receive one parcel, that the other parcel should be the same thing.

Hope this help.

3. This:
2016-11-22 23:50 Foshan philatelic post office letter, left, the next station "South China Sea"

South China Sea is a China Post Office that has been translated

Thanks, int077!

I did not post the tracking number because the status will show who has signed for the parcel once it is received - and that is a privacy concern.
I can get all the tracking info my self, no problems with that - I was curious because of the word "Sea".

Later on I found this post here: http://track-chinapost.com/?p=686 which explains the tracking number letters meanings.

It is very odd that one parcel can "overtake" another parcel when going through the same post office and airport (as it did in my case).

FYI, I'm buying from China for several years now and have over 100 orders with not a single package lost. Until this fall the longest shipping time was 26 days - but in the last two months I had several longer than that, one 46 days (although that one had a faded address label).

Sent by sea? The way these planes are flying all over the place from one country to another maybe it may be better by sea!

You would not believe what can happen to a shipping container once it is "on its way" (from being "lost" in the docks to being literally lost at sea, lol!).
Guys dealing with plains are at least at somewhat higher level than drunken sailors. 😉

Nevertheless, since this one is a tracked parcel it just may show up one day. However, it is going to be useless to me then. Luckily, I've got some "buyer protection" for it which I'm going to activate in 3 days.
