I bought an item from a vendor on Aliexpress on the 18th of September, on the 19th of September is was sent to China Post to be delivered to the UK. 90% of the time it is impossible to find any tracking information out and this time was no different.
I went to 17track and found out this much

tracking number - RK493183905CN

But according to the information on aliexpress my parcel is Shanghai and it hasn't moved since then.

I have asked the vendor on Ali to chase it up, he just states it can take 20-40 days to ship by air.
Seeing as I have just received an order from Gearbest this morning that was placed on the 4th of October ( delivered in 6 working days ) I know it can be done quicker.
I know one thing, I will never be using China post again, even if it means I have to pay extra for shipping. I am beyond disappointed with the Service.

1. If you look at the tracking the parcel was mail only on the 01 Oct, your parcel has been on the road only for 13 days. Delivery (estimate arrival time) to UK can take from 6 to 40 days.

2. So I guess you have a problem with this seller not putting the parcel through the mail when he was suppose to.

3. Not defending anybody here but look at this:
I have great news for all European buyers because now Chinese shop Gearbest has opened European warehouse in United Kingdom. So in this way you can receive a package must faster than usual and also you will not have any additional costs like custom duties.

4. That might explain why you had you parcel faster to you in UK from Gearbest.

Thanks for the swift response :-)
I've had the tracking number since the 19th of September and the Alisite said it was dispatched then, I began chasing the seller up on the 29th after the alisite said it was still in the air between china and the uk and no tracking info was available. Also doesn't explain why it has been shipped by air on the 3rd and is apparently still ' in the air ' today, 10 days later.

1. Your parcel might be in UK right now but Royal Mail did not get to your parcel to scan it so far. Neither you and me can say for sure that your parcel is in China or UK.

2. But from all the tracking I have seen here, I suspect your parcel is in UK. Is Royal Mail overload with incoming parcel from overseas, this might be the problem. Shortly you should be able to track your parcel on the Royal Mail site.

3. As for the seller and Ali Express, you can see from the tracking that something was wrong from their part. How can a parcel be in the air when it was mail/accepted by China Post on the 01 Oct.
