Seller has said that its simply taking a long time to update,
It apparently got shipped on 6th October and i know its been not too long

1. Your tracking number is a valid tracking number. If you just got that number sometimes you need to wait up to 10 days before it gets into the China Post system.

2. If after 10 days you still can not track your parcel, then contact seller and ask him if he did physically mail the parcel.

3. Also please take note that last week it was a National holiday all week so there was no mail pick up or delivery. So it might take a wee bit longer to get you number into the China Post system

confirmation email with tracking number 87075085543 from newegg.com 10/04/16 still says invalid

And my tracking number provided doesn't have any letters only numbers. Have I been scammed

1. Give the seller a chance up to including the 19 Oct to track your parcel. If at that date you can not see any tracking, then open a dispute to get your money back.

2. You could contact seller and tell him your intention about what you are going to do if you can not track your parcel.

3. I was not able to track your parcel also. it's giving me this:
Item is not found at this moment.

Please help me! This is my tracking number RK490665271CN but since 07.10 i have no info and update about the shipping and seller sent me foto of the tracking status which he gaves from the post station - Beijing.....Can I trust him or no?
