Post My Parcel is stuck?

Hello,
A registered parcel of mine containing books has arrived Dhaka, Bangladesh on 17/08/2017. It was from India (air mail). But since then no updation is shown on the tracking sites. I am worried because I have received two parcels from India before and it took around 2.5 to 3 weeks to reach. In each of the previous cases the amount of time the parcels kept in Airport customs were 9 and 6 days. Now it has been 14 days and no update yet. Overall it has been around 24 days
Can anyone shed any light on this?

Please help.

Hey! I know its worrying when your package takes longer than usual, especially when tracking doesnt update but trust me, your package is fine and just needs some more time! This will be the last tracking update you get before you will receive the package, no worries!

EDIT : If it really ended up taking that long, i would open a case at the post office becuase your package just **might** be lost but i wouldnt worry about that untill youve waited for 6 weeks or longer.

Hi mikail for ur kind stepping up.
I went to the local post office. Talked to the guy who deals with mail parcels. He asked me about the arrival date. I answered. He then asked me what kind of parcel it was. I answered it contains books. He then said it is currently at the Foreign Post Office of our main Post Office.
But I doubt him because if it had passed the airport sorting office/customs then there must have been this entry in the tracker: " receive item at office of exchange" which did not happen.
I did not argue with him. I can go to the foreign post office but it is one of the "notorious" places of ours.
Do u think the guy is telling it right?

Hey!

I know you want your parcel as soon as possible, but try waiting one more week. In most cases your parcel appears all out of sudden, if it doesnt arrive by 2 more weeks (max) i would revisit the post office, give them your tracking number and tell tem to tell you where the package is right now. Does India Post has a phone number/email address/twitter support page you could contact? Most of the times your situation will get more attention then.

Hey maikel,
Today we went to our local post office again. After a detailed conversation we came to learn the Foreign Post Office of Dhaka actually has not received the parcel. They were told the item was despatched to Dhaka on August 18. However they did not receive it yet.
Next thing is posting the matter on India Post's Facebook page. Their Facebook page is pretty much active. I am yet to see if they reply me.
What's ur insight man? Has it actually Lost in Transition? My thought is it is either detained by customs or lost or it never left India. Almost one month sonce the original booking and 18 days since the "dispatch".
Hmm.....

I received my parcel. It was stuck in the Airport cargo for 23 days. After successful hammering to India Post through their twitter and website complant page the parcel was cleared to Dhaka Foreign post office. Thanks maikel for your kind insights and thoughts.
