Dear China Post

I need your help on resolving compensation for EMS parcel EA094415477CN.

I am from Malaysia expecting parcel EA094415477CN from China. In December 2014, the parcel was reported lost in Malaysia and Pos Malaysia has made the necessary report to China Post. Pos Malaysia has confirmed that China Post will pay compensation first to the sender, and Pos Malaysia will subsequently pay back China Post in full. According to Pos Malaysia, China Post has acknowledged this.

I have the full email trail documenting the above developments.

However, when the sender from China contacted China Post for compensation, China Post has declined to pay . As mentioned, China Post is only paying upfront, Pos Malaysia will compensate China Post in full subsequently.

Can China Post and Pos Malaysia please communicate to resolve this issue? I have the necessary documentation please email me at [email protected].

Ideally please share contact details (international phone number and email address) of the relevant China Post department handling this. I would like to proactively contact China Post.

TQVM.

How China Post will compensate the shipper actually makes no sense to you. If you are buyer/recipient, you should open dispute to paypal/aliexpress and claim refund from seller. No matter seller can get compensation from China Post or not, he should compensate you first. So you no need waste time on this issue.

In fact, China Post will not deal with recipient, nor with Malaysia Post on compensation issue. China Post will compensate shipper if he purchased insurance, otherwise no compensation will be granted. It is common sense that shipper should take the risk for the lose of goods during shipment.

I am merely conveying Pos Malaysia's guidance. It is of relevance to me if it affects my chances of getting a compensation over a lost parcel.

The chain of events as I understand from Pos Malaysia's advice is this:
China Post compensates China sender > Pos Malaysia compensates China Post > sender compensates me.

Importantly, China Post has acknowledged this.

Can I take your reply above as an official and authorised reply from China Post? Or is your reply purely a personal view? I'm not sure how the forum works.

Either way, thanks very much for your time and the effort to reply. Much appreciated.

Thank you.

Dear China Post volunteer - please confirm if this is your official reply, and that China Post will not compensate the sender.

If so, I need to convey to Pos Malaysia to take the next step of action. Thank you.
