Hello China Post,
I have a second destroyed radio-controlled Helicopter. It is a YuXiang RC F11S from the Chinese company Razordon. I want to send it back to China for repair, but on of the employees from that company told me through an e-mail that the tariff on this RC Helicopter should be $80 or less or else the company will not accept this Helicopter and will not repair it. I live in Germany.

Please answer me 5 questions.

1. How high is the tariff on this product?
2. Should I tell you the weight of this product, when it is inside the package?
3. If the tariff on this product is higher, should I write 'Educational Toy' on the description of the package to make the tariff cheap?
4. Do you want to know the weight of this product?
5. Should I let a parcel company weigh this product?
6. Can I weigh this product at home with a weighing scale?

the tariff to China is very high. It is estimated by the customs officer case by case. If your seller told you tariff is $80, then it should be $80.

Don't post your weight or write "Educational Toy" . It won't help you to reduce tariff.

Your seller is bad. Normally it is seller's responsibility to pay the tariff if he wants the return. For high duty low cost item, in most cases, a good seller will send buyer a new product instead of return if it is not worth a return.

Not sure why do you want to weigh the item. If you want to reduce tariff, it is useless. if you want to calculate shipping fee, you need to ask Germany Post about their weighing policy.

Hello China Post,
understood. I wanted to weigh the item to find out, how much the tariff would cost including the weight. I already sent the first RC Helicopter for repair, but the tariff on that is too high and I will get the first Helicopter back soon without any repairs. So Razordon sent me this second RC Helicopter for free, but it got also destroyed. If the tariff on the first Helicopter was too high, then the tariff on the second Helicopter will be too high too. Can I just pay the tariff myself then if Razordon does not want to pay the tariff?

unfortunately shipper can't make customs clearance and pay duty outside China. In order to do so, you need write your China Mobile phone number in the parcel. Then China Post will send a text message which has a customs clearance code, you need to use that code to do declaration and pay duty from a China Bank account (again this needs payer has a China ID). So almost impossible.
