So i have been offered an alternative to a package i have been waiting for for over a month now from China,.

The original used PostNL and i had the tracking number LX939136321NL

Now the vendor is asking if i wanna pay a lesser amount and get the package resent via "ETK" i have never heard of this.

This package would be going from China to NZ .

How long does this type of shipping typically take and is it "direct" (as in not having to go all the way to the Netherlands and then to New Zealand

your old parcel is still on the way to NZ. I am not sure why you want buy a new item.

now most of international airlines from china are cancelled. Every shipping company has shortage of of airline space and thus have serious delay. I believe if now you resend a new parcel from china to NZ, it will take longer time. than your older parcel.

btw, we never heard of ETK. it should be a shipping agent for NLPost, Singapore Post or some other postal service.

My vendor randomly proposed a new order be sent out this morning for 35USD incase my current order has been lost as its been "in transit" for way too long.

She corrected me and said its something called "China Post E Express" i did some Googling and ETK falls under the EMS branch or is related to it.

EDIT: Also i would consider a new parcel from China using a more reliable and culpable company than NLpost as they seem to just act as a gateway and then throw it into the UPU network and a simple google shows that the company is not very highly rated.

At least with a EMS or Express China Post option i know that the package is coming directly from China to New Zealand with one service that i can track and not be left in limbo like i have for almost a month now.
