Greetings.

According to:
http://track-chinapost.com/result_china.php?order_no=RV397194985CN

It left Customs from China on April 21st. Question is how long am I supposed to wait until it's safe to consider it lost? It keeps saying it's "On Route". Does it mean the package has NOT been claimed? Should I start requesting for a refund from the company/sender?

RV397194985CN is still in Guangzhou airport waiting for flight space to USA.

This kind R parcel(register airmail) is economical class service which has low priority to compete the very limited shipping space with EMS/ePacket in such covid-19 season.

it is hard to predict how long you consider it is lost . normally 99% R parcel will arrive in 30 to 180 days. So best practice is to wait until your buyer protection is near expiring. Then open dispute to seller for lost refund. After you get the parcel later, you can pay back the seller.
