Post Parcel still with airline?

Hi,

The tracking for parcel LY197091282CN shows that it was handed over to the airline in Shanghai on the 15th of May, which is almost 1 month ago.

Do you have any idea roughly how long parcels are waiting for air transport to the US at the moment? I have read the report which you recommended which shows the delivery delays and times for the first quarter of 2020 but we are now in mid June and the situation has changed since March.

I would be very grateful if you could give me an idea of the average wait times for air transport to the US at the moment.

http://track-chinapost.com/result_china.php?order_no=LY105863527CN shows the parcel was sent to airline on May 15. It is still in Shanghai airport waiting for flight to USA.

Coronavirus has cancelled many airlines to USA, our latest report shows average waiting time to USA is about 7 weeks, you need some patient.

Right now China government and US government are still fighting against each other on airline quote . Right now 90% of airlines between these two countries are cancelled, Trump administration threat to cancel 100% China airlines to USA by Jun 15. we hope airlines can be back to normal level after these two crazy governments make a deal.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply about the flight delays. I saw that China has now allowed some extra flights from US to China from June 8. See this article: http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-06-04/china-to-allow-foreign-airlines-back-after-retaliatory-u-s-ban

How much do you think the extra flights will help with clearing the delays?

So far US government has not declare if they will stop the banning order of Jun 15. So everything is not quite clear.

If Trump administration finally makes a deal with China government to reopen airlines gradually to normal level, shipping time to USA will be much faster than the past 4 months. Let's wait and see what will happen in next 2 to 4 weeks.

Thank you for your reply, I appreciate it. I will keep checking the tracking. By the way, do you know if the Aliexpress standard shipping with tracking codes PRxxxxxxxxxYP and LPxxxx... is also affected by the same delays or are they using some other way to transport? (like shipping first to Singapore or similar)

Aliexpress does not have its own shipping fleet. Their so-called standard shipping PR***YP, LP*** are actually from some private shipping company such as Yanwen, EC etc. They are actually agents of China Post, Singapore Post , USPS.

All these shipping companies have to use airline to send the parcel from China to outside countries.

As covid19 has cancelled most of the airlines China, All the above mentioned shipping method are suffering worst delay in history, no exception.
