China Post cannot change the destination address once a package has been dispatched. It is just like mailing a letter and realizing a day later that the address was wrong—you cannot ask the USPS office to modify it at that point. Because letters and packages are already being sorted and delivered following established procedures within the postal system, it is impossible to manually pull a specific item out to update its address.

If you live in an apartment building with a centralized mailroom, you can ask your mailroom manager to coordinate with the USPS carrier (since China Post packages are delivered by USPS in the US) to have them place the package into your mailbox. If your manager is unable to help you, the package will unfortunately likely have to be returned to China.
