Hello,

I'm contacting you about my Meller order, tracked under parcel number LZ466367003CN.

The Shop app is now asking me to pay customs duties before the parcel can be delivered. I wasn't expecting this, as no duties or import fees were mentioned when I placed the order, and I want to make sure this request is legitimate before paying anything.

Could you please confirm the following:

Is this customs duty request genuine and issued by the carrier, or could it be a phishing attempt?
Was the order shipped with duties and taxes prepaid (DDP), or is the recipient responsible for import fees (DAP)? If duties were already included in my order total, could you please let the carrier know so the charge is cancelled?
If I do need to pay, what is the exact amount, who should I pay it to, and by what deadline before the parcel is returned to sender?

Thank you very much for your help.

Best regards,
Paul-Thomas

LZ466367003CN arrived in France on Sep 7. According to France Post(la Poste) regulation, the recipient is responsible to pay the import duty.

If the seller has promised to pay you duty when you place the order, you still need to pay the duty first, then ask the seller to refund you money.

If you don't like to pay duty, you can refuse to accept the order and then claim refund from seller or call your credit card bank to ask charge back.
