I have not had an update since July 12. As of that time it was In Los Angeles. Is there anyway to find out any additional information?

The parcel should be handled by USPS after it arrived in USA, but unfortunately tracking number start with "A" can not be tracked through USPS website. The latest updates was it is in transit on Jul.12 in Los Angeles, and no updates since then.
I'd suggest you wait patiently and watch for your buyer protection period,if it is expiring,you must ask the seller or the website which you bought the item to extend the protection or open dispute for refund.
