This package left China a month ago and since then it lost track.
This is an EMS item that usually takes ~14 days to deliver.
Is there more tracking options to find where is my parcel

I did open a dispute and the seller extended my protection time so I am not worried about not getting my money back in case it is lost.

What I really want to know, based on your experience what are the chances that I'll ever get this package?
Shouldn't it be rare for an EMS item to get lost?

your parcel should be USPS import center. You can not see new status until it is released from USPS import warehouse. This might take 2 to 6 weeks.

Your parcel should be delayed in USPS import center. USPS import processing is very very slow in some airports, you need some patient.
