The last tracking update from China Post is from December 15, 2016 and shows the package leaving Beijing Airport going to next airport/seaport and I can find no other tracking update with Canada Post. Does the lack of new updates mean my order has been lost?

Normally I track China EMS using:
http://www.track-chinapost.com/en/courier/china-ems
and of course USPS Tracking.
If you don’t not know the carrier then just google your Tracking #.
I bought form China a security Camera and was lost in China EMS.
It still is in transit shipped on January 11, 2014, and no update since January 14, 2017. Contacted the seller resulted lost in mail; they reship another camera on January 18, 2017 and delivered at my door January 25, 2017.
I did a mistake ordering same camera from another China company on January 15, 2017.
Was shipped on January 21, 2014.
Tracing # is giving this message:
Jan 22, 2017 05:39 am Origin Post is Preparing Shipment USPS
Jan 22, 2017 05:39 am Processed Through Facility USPS
BEIJING EMS, China
Jan 22, 2017 12:00 am Leaving parcel center, to USORDF China EMS
Jan 21, 2017 01:13 am Acceptance USPS China
Jan 21, 2017 12:00 am Arrive parcel processing center, from Beijing (China)
Received by China EMS China EMS
Jan 21, 2017 12:00 am Leaving parcel center, to China Beijing (China) China EMS
Jan 21, 2017 12:00 am Received by China EMS China EMS
So from January 22, 2017 until January 26, 2017 there isn’t any update.
This doesn’t looks good, but I have to wait 15 more days, until February 5, 2017.
My seller policy is:
If no update in 18 days claim a refund or reship. For ePacket Chin EMS needs 1 to 4 weeks to investigate.
I do not take chances. If the item isn’t delivered in 30 days then always I open a dispute with my credit card. Better be safe then sorry. Buying from China is great but with many surprises. Do not be paranoiac but be vigilant.
Just to buy one item I ordered it 3 times. First was stolen at the seller warehouse and refund after escalating in an ugly dispute. Second order was lost in Chin EMS. Was reshipped and received. Ordered the third one in between and doesn’t looks good either.
Rule of the thumb stay in the driver’s seat, collect strong evidences, ask specific question to the seller, and after 45 days the credit card has to be involved. You have only 60 days to open a dispute.

@bluemonkey thank you for that link! I was wondering the status of a package of mine too and thanks to your post, I was able to look it up and find the exact details.

1. In case you don't know Canada Post does not anymore track Register Airmail parcel from China Post since Sep 2015.

2. Parcel to Canada can take between 4 to 8 weeks to be deliver.

3. This is what I found for you:
Tracking No. :RO105710472CN
Date / Time : 2016/12/11 - 14:51
Description :Tracking is not available for international registered mail items sent to Canada.
Service Type :International Inbound Registered

4. Your parcel has not been scan yet by Canada Post. If you would like just come back here every 4 days and ask me personally to check is you parcel was scan by Canada Post. I will be glad to help you.

5. Please take also into consideration that Canadian Customs are possibly scanning all parcel coming from China for the drug Fentanyl. That could also contribute to more delay for your parcel.

Thanks.
