I have been in contact with the sender. They have asked the recipient and were told that the item was at a sorting office in Guangzhou but they went there only to be told that they have no item with that tracking number.

What can the recipient do?

As far as Royal Mail are concerned, the item is in Guangzhou.

you need ask receiver call 11185 and try to pickup the parcel. If 11185 can not help him, none else can help.

Good news about this item as the sender has got back to me that the recipient did get their item...Am not sure if it was a redelivery or if it was collected though.

Apparently because there was no phone number on the recipient's address that China Post would not deliver it?

Are items sent into China require that a phone number is put on the recipient's address?

yes. it is a good idea to put phone number on the address. China is not like western country. Not every place has accurate address.

May I ask what China Post's procedure is in regards 'denial of receipt'?

I have a caller in the UK who sent two items RJ261505643GB and RJ261505630GB, and according to China Post they were successfully delivered but the recipients have denied getting those items.

I have advised the caller to put in a claim for 'denial of receipt' with Royal Mail.

I assume China Post will go over their records as to who the items were sent to, and a signature if it was a signed service.

Fi china post tracking system shows those parcels have been delivered. Then they should be delivered. I don't think there might be any 'denial of receipt'

Am not disputing that but the recipients certainly are and they are telling the sender that they never got their items. I assume Royal Mail may need to formally ask China Post to provide some signatures for those two items as proof that it was delivered and as importantly, who and where to.

Anyhow...may I ask about details for RZ381572154GB, please? It is International Signed and there are details it was presented to Import Customs today.

A name was missing for the item. It was supposed to go to a Pin-Wen Wang. There is a phone number given to me if China Post need it but I won't give that out publically. Is there a DM/direct message option if I need to though?

Thanks for all the help given to me from China Post in this thread by the way.

RZ381572154GB just arrived China Post office in Ningbo(宁波中心). If your receiver in Ningbo area, he/she should get it in next 2 to 3 days.

Good news as the recipient got their item apparently some time on Monday.

Got a couple of more tricky ones though.

* RU641345501GB seems to be somewhere in Beijing since 18th January. On China Post's tracking it suggests "sent to airline" since 21st January.

Are there any updates in regards this item?

* Also, RN574153311GB. Royal Mail's tracking says it is in Beijing since 1st April. China Post says it was presented to customs.

Any updates in regards this item, please?

if parcel arrived China in more than 2 weeks ago and has not been delivered. This is a bad news. Normally this means the parcel can not be delivered for address or customs clearance problem.

you need ask receiver call china post hotline 11185 and try to pay duty and pickup the parcel from china post. 11185 will tell him where and how to pickup the parcel.
