I want to know what happened to my shipment
And is there anything i need to do?

I suggest you file investigation with Japan Post and let them contact China Post to search the parcel. If China Post can not find it, Japan Post should compensate money to shipper for lost parcel.

i contact Japan Post and after the investigation
According to them the package is currently stuck at the customs of Guangzhou
and advise to contact the Postal Office at the following phone number to have a look into the problem and to request further information on how i can recover my package from them.
