Post Package lost/returned to sender?

I have a package I shipped from Shanghai to Sydney on December 18, 2025. Package tracking number: CP441420697CN

Since December 20, 2025, the package has the update “Item returned from export customs/security”.

I am not sure if my package has been returned to the sender of it is still on route to Sydney, Australia.

Please help me get a confirmation with what has happened,
I really appreciate it.

CP441420697CN is a low priority parcel. It was given to carrier on Jan 11. It is still on the way to Australia. Is it a parcel which is over 2 kgs weight? If yes, it will go through ocean and might take another 2 to 3 months to reach Austraiia.
