The tracking says it has been processed through China and ready to be sent to the U.S. but has not actually been sent. Anyone have ideas where is my package, and if it is lost, what are my next steps?

http://track-chinapost.com/result_china.php?order_no=CP398135161CN shows the parcel was sent to airline on OCT 27.

This kind of parcel starting with CP is called air/sea combined parcel. It is a very slow and CHEAP parcel service. Normally it will arrive US in 4 to 6 weeks. If the parcel weight is over 2kgs, it can take up to half year to arrive.

If you need to ship important or valuable item, do not use such sea/land combined CP parcel.

Thank you, I didn't know that was the one selected. Must have been a translation error. Will it update when it arrives in the US?

Once the parcel arrives USA, you can use CP398135161CN to track its local status in USPS.com .
